It’s been a good week for Sonar. Ster-Kinekor’s “The Reign Of Ian” cinema ad was recognized at The Creative Circle Awards as well as the iDidTht.com Monthly Craft Awards. Our Cape Town music composer, Chris Querido, scored the spot for Cape Town based creative agency, FoxP2. The ad was also featured on shots.net and the Little Black Book. Check it out here.

The Loeries Official Rankings 2017 are out and we’re proud that Sonar has been ranked 4th Film & TV recording studio in South Africa. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our clients who have trusted us with their work.

“Everybody Knows” wins Golf in TV & Film, as well as the newly introduced #PublicServiceAward at Loeries 2017. The ad was shot by Lourens Van Rensburg at 7Films, edited by Gordon Midgley from Deliverance Post Production and sound designed & final mixed here at Sonar. The ad was written by Y&R SA’s Cape Town office in 2016. Hector Elliot from the WCG released the ad at the beginning of the easter holidays to reinforce the fact that everybody knows that alcohol and roads don’t mix.
